Overview

We were thrilled to handle the post-production for Hatizmoret, a feature-length documentary directed by award-winning filmmaker Ofer Pinhasov. The film explores the untold story of "Beit Hashidur Ha'Yisraeli"—an Israeli radio station that, from the 1940s through the 1960s, played a pivotal role in intelligence and psychological warfare against Arab countries. What appeared to be a simple Arabic-language news and music station was, in reality, a tool for propaganda, public opinion manipulation, and even covert operations using coded messages.

Challenges & Approach

Our post-production work had to capture the gravity of this historical narrative while keeping the suspense and intrigue alive. The biggest challenge was to seamlessly weave archival footage, interviews, and dramatic re-enactments to create a cohesive and compelling story. We focused heavily on enhancing the archival materials and fine-tuning the sound design to reflect the clandestine nature of the broadcasts. Every element, from color grading to soundscapes, was carefully crafted to transport the audience back to a tense and transformative era in Israeli and Arab history.

The Result

The final cut of Hatizmoret brought to life the complex and secretive world of "Beit Hashidur Ha'Yisraeli," making this historical documentary both informative and thrilling. Our post-production efforts helped amplify the tension and drama that underpinned the station’s operations, and the film has been praised for its gripping portrayal of this fascinating chapter in Israel's history. Hatizmoret has already made waves on the festival circuit, establishing itself as a standout in historical documentary filmmaking and marking a significant achievement for our team.
